Project Sew: Draw-string Bag

Heya,
You will now need to do something with all the materials you have gathered. So, I've made a step-by-tep, easy-to-follow guide on a handy project.

Draw-String Bag:

How to:
1. Measure and cut the material into two pieces. -  this depends on the desired size of you bag; I chose 10 and 1/2 inches by 18 inches.

2. Cut ribbon. - I measure the width of the bag and
cut the ribbon around 4 times this.

3. Turn the two pieces of material so that pattern is facing inwards. Then fold over the tops so that the draw-string can pull through there. - I folded more material than the width of the ribbon so it can move and be pulled tighter or looser.

4. Tuck the ribbon under the fold at the top and sew along. Then sew each other side of the bag together, leaving an opening at the top. - I used a sewing machine because it's faster but by hand is just as effective.

5. Turn it inside out, and Ta-Da! Simple project numero uno - check!

Tighten and loosen the ribbon as you choose when bag is in use.

Yours,
Truly xxx
