#SaturdayStyles

It's taken me four posts to figure out
pink probably isn't a brill background
-especially to show up those accessories!
I've now run out of foreign language greeting which is probably good as this is my final summer collection sneak-peak, so far! So Bonjour for now and let's get on with it.

Shown is:

  • blue cropped top with buttoned strips, from Topshop -£12.99
  • blue/black velvet floral skirt from H&M -£14.99
  • black stylish brogue/ creepers also from H&M -£14.99
  • friendship bracelet can barely be seen - available from anywhere.
What we've drawn together here is a gorgeous, classy style to be worn with skin-coloured tights and black ankle socks to show extreme amazingness even through the hot summer months.

The colours may appear quite dark but the skirt shimmers blue in the light and pale legs balance all out. Plus, everyone has an inner dark horse, don't they KP? If, however, you don't like ruining the light summer spirit, add a daisy chain head-band, bright wristbands, a statement gold necklace or a flower-power satchel, and nothing will look better.

Hope you have some inspiration,
Yours,
Truly xxx

Hola mis amigos! (In three years learning spanish, that is all I can manage and it still makes me proud.)

Sequel no.3 is a style thought by many to be a definite no-no, but when styled with incredible skill by my team, can make a gorgeous statement outfit.

As shown:

  • blue/green floral dress with embroidered collar, from Boden at £35.00
  • bright green super-skinny stretch jeans, from H&M at £12.99

Whoever said, "Blue and green cannot be seen, without something in between," was probably blind because I think we've pulled it over very well.

As you may have just read, the top half is actually a dress but when clothes like these become too small, there is no need to throw them out! Oh, no! We just tuck them in. Equally if you have a shirt too long, you wear it as a dress, or just tuck it in. If you have jeans too short, cut them to be shorts and if you have shorts too short, you give them to your cousin, or wear them as pyjamas.

Some don't believe green can be easily pulled off but with a metallic pair of black heels playing neutraliser, the looks you attract wearing them are purely admiration. I promise. So go for it.

Yours,
Truly xxx

Ciao,

As promised, here is a sequel post to my previous one: a window into my summer wardrobe.

What we're wearing:

  • Sleeveless cream collared shirt, with aztec embroidery from New Look -£14.99
  • Black and white aztec leggings, New Look -£12.99
  • Burgundy Converse-sneakers, Converse -£45 [or Primark -£4.90!!]
Today we're looking at my obsession: monochrome aztec print.

We've matched the aztec detail from the shirt to the patterned leggings to equal a subtle but sure matching outfit for wearing casually, as shown, or dressed up with suitable jewellery and probably smarter shoes.

I know the leggings pictured our quite woolly and probably more suitable for cold winter months but we've all experienced that time mid spring/summer when it's to warm to wear trousers and too cold for shorts. My answer is leggings- be them woolly or not.

Just to interrupt the monochrome sequence, I added a pair of jazzy burgundy converse-sneakers. If you don't already know, burgundy is the colour of the season; of the year, I daresay. Therefore, it is only right that everyone- and I mean EVERYONE- makes acquaintances with their burgundy number- men included.

As a reminder all the clothes I'm showing in this summer styles sequence can be mixed and matched so think about that shirt with [scroll down] those kaki high-waisted shorts from previous post and that makes a just as gorgeous wear for the hot months.

Good luck with your clothing-choice,
Truly xxx

P.S. And if I don't post again before-hand, have a very Happy Easter!!
Q:What happened when the Easter Bunny misbehaved at school?
A: He was eggspelled!

Hahahahahaha! I'm so hilarious

Heya Guys! I know I haven't posted in a while- have you missed me? :'( ...don't answer that.

Today and over the next couple of days, I'm going to be giving you a small sneak-peak into my summer wardrobe to help you mould a basic idea of what styles you should be showing off this Summer!

My first summer style is:
  • coal grey crop top from Primark -£3.00
  • kaki green high-waisted shorts, also from Primark -£10
  • tanned ballet pumps, from New Look -£7.99 or Asos -£12
In my opinion, you just cannot EVER get enough of high-waisted shorts. Whether you want to subtly show off your amazing summer [fake] tan or you feel like the whole of your belly is a bit too much when wearing a cropped top, high-waisted shorts are the ones.

And what you'll notice if you are a consistent reader, is that all (well, most) items can be mixed and matched, meaning the clothing items listed don't have a limited style that can be matched with them.

The skin-coloured pumps are just an alternative colour to dim down the outfit because the green is enough to show summer already, and yet black creepers would't really give off the summer style we're going for either. So keep it neutral with beige or lightly tanned.

Keep your eyes open for more summer style ideas to come,
Yours,
Truly xxx
