Disney Party: Mickey Mouse Cupcakes

I know it has been a while and you probably assumed the Disney-party planning was over- you were wrong. That's right! it's still a thing!

Now, we're looking at some adorable Mickey/minnie-mouse cupcakes! Everybody say *awwww*
These are deeelish: oreo cupcakes with buttercream icing
I found cupcake-case things you can use to give cupcakes away at the ned of the party as a modern-take on 'party bag'. You can never forget the party bag!

You will need: amounts vary so buy more than enough just in case. Variation depends on number of guests

  • icing sugar (Tate&Lyle makes me smile!)
  • plain cupcakes- buy them pre-made or make some following instructions in my previous posts. We bought 16 because we planned for 12 guests and always have extras
  • cream-cheese/ butter at room temperature- we'll say butter for the sake of the method
  • 2x oreo packets
  • 2x mini oreo packets (if you can't buy these, use mini chocolate buttons or rolos)
  • cupcake cases in red/white polka dot (Mickey/minnie mouse theme)
Let's begin...
Tesco!

You can buy these for a
bargain in Poundland!

  1. Mix icing sugar with butter in clean bowl using wooden spoon.
  2. Add a little water (3x table-spoons) to soften. Stir.
  3. Use two teaspoons to press icing onto cupcakes. Swirl to look nice.
  4. Decorate with one regular-sized oreo in the centre and two mini ones either side as ears.
You can buy cupcake cases in Poundland which are totally gorgeous. GET THEM! Even if you aren't giving cupcakes away, they're soooo cute... for some reason, we didn't get a photo of the cupcakes inside the cases but oh well.

Store in fridge because the butter could go off.

Tbh, this could well be my final Disney Party post, but keep your fingers crossed.

Yours,

Truly xxx
