Disney Party: One-Word: FOOD

Ciao!

Displaying photo 4.JPGToday's post concentrates on the next, highly important part of our party: FOOD!!

The theme we think is best and most obvious for a Disney tea-party is, guess what, Mad Hatter- Alice in Wonderland.

These is really easy and, relating back to previous post, can use really cute labels from the story.

First, get hold of a table! Depending on the number of people invited, (let's stick with 12) 12 places need to be set [duh].

The table cloth we chose was a really good quality, plain with smart design one cheap from a charity shop. It needn't be great quality though as you might only need it once!

I recommend throw away paper plates- but rather than boring white ones, go for beautiful floral ones, like these from Ikea. Contrasting napkins with simple, suited design bring colour, and coloured plastic/paper cups go best. Cheap plastic cutlery can be acquired in big packs for parties at low prices. Under the cups, we laid faded pola-dot doily-style paper coasters for added awesomeness! You also may want to think about cake stands/ trays to lay the food on.

Next, the food!!

Grab a friend, go to tesco/ pound land/ morrisons and grab everything you can find- own brand is cheapest! This may include:
  • sponge cake
  • biscuits- oreos
  • chocolate buttons
  • sweets
  • jam tarts
  • mini rolls
  • jaffa cakes
  • nutella
  • kipling cakes
  • mini doughnuts
  • cocktail sausages
  • sandwiches- bread, butter, cream-cheese, ham, cucumber
  • scones
  • cupcakes
Drinks in the main meal might include the remainder of the mocktails as well as simple squashes, juices and lemonades.

Yours,
Truly xxx
P.S. I found these beautiful teacups to use for hot chocolate. You could look around some charity shops for them!
