Today's Saturday Styles is based partially on the theme of 'The Outsiders', a book by S.E. Hinton.
If you haven't read the book or seen the film already, you should.
So, this outfit consists of:
- Red Checked Shirt, [from Topshop]
- Light blue skinny/stretch jeans, [£7.00 from Primark]
- Pale blue bandana, [from Tiger/ Claire's/ River Island]
- Black & White loom band; my friend made me :') -you can buy bands [from Poundland]
- Burgundy sneakers, £4.70 [from Primark]
- White strappy top, purchasable [anywhere] (to go underneath)
- Black Choker necklace with pearl, £6.50 [from Topshop]
However, it's easy to change bits and pieces to still pull off an awesome vintage outfit. I recommend the vintage section of Urban Outfitter, a collection from Topshop and fill in the missing pieces with Primark.
You could try going for double denim (like those pictured) with either a denim bomber jacket/ mum jeans/ denim shirt.
Or for that added affect, rip the sleeves and collar off an old tee.
Though my sneakers were burgundy, you can wear black or white and contrasting socks.
Wear your hair greased back or backcombed and hold in place with either a bandana, like mine, or hairspray. A bandana can be worn in a range of colours, but go for duller ones like blue (light or dark), red or grey...
Yellow, as you can see, isn't that nice. And if you wanna look like a man, tie your hair up in a messy bun and secure with bobby pins.
You can also try a pair of aviator sunglasses for that little bit extra.
For make-up, don't be afraid to go heavy on the eyeliner, or try some bold lippy, but other than that, none necessary.
Yours,
Truly xxx
