Don't lie, you have been waiting for the sequel to my first monthly wish list (http://trewleesensational.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/june-wish-list.html), haven't you?
So here it is! At last! The guide you have all been waiting for to get you through summer! And what a packed one it is.
Item numero uno: circular sunglasses. Not only are these a necessity to avoid getting the oh-so-familiar-around-the-eye-tan-line, but they are also incredibly funky and stylish and can be worn to embrace and compliment face shapes of all shapes and sizes. ( ) Whether you try black or white, striped or plain, these are absolutely a must-have this summer.
Item dos: (also pictured), I am LOVING this turquoise/ blue rib crop tee for £8 from Topshop. Along with the season of summer, Britain's weather can also sometimes strive for greatness; so get out the belly with this gorgeous tee. Featured in last week's #SaturdayStyles: http://trewleesensational.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/saturdaystyles_20.html
Item tres: For a pale-skinned ghost like me [cursed by her irish ascendants], sun-cream is inevitably, undeniable and unashamedly needed. So I'm going to have to arm you with it- but this deal isn't half bad. Not only does St Tropez Sun protection protect your skin from the sun (prevent burn and skin cancer later on in life), but it also comes with a built in tan enhancer: St.Tropez Sun Protection for Face With Tan Enhancer SPF30, for just £15 from Boots. "This velvety cream simply melts into the skin, helping to protect you from harmful UVA and UVB rays."
Ummm... I can't count any further than 3 in Spanish!! 4: So, scrolling through New Look website (a common past time of mine) and I spot THESE: stunning monochrome stripe leggings... they may be teens, but I'm sure I can fit [squeeze]. Particularly for those of you are- how shall I put it delicately- 'vertically challenged', this pattern creates the perfect illusion of long, thin legs by emphasising the length downwards rather than outwards. AND, they're only on £5- personally, I don't understand why they aren't already out of stock!
5: You must know by now how very much 'in' pastel colours are- if you don't then you really need to catch up! So, continuing with the 'in' theme, I present to you three Mavala Mini Colour Nail Polishes in only the best colours. These cost £4.75 per bottle (of 5ml) from Boots, but you can probably get them cheaper at your local Beauty Base!
6: LOVE these high-rise, cropped jeans in acid wash from Urban Outfitters for £30 (reduced from £50). Mum jeans like these are all the rage so either grab yourself new pair, or borrow (borrow means to keep) literally your mum's ones, that don't quite fit et voila! Wear with trainers or sneaker, but not pumps. Perfect for summer too, with a balance between weight and airy.
7: Finally, also from Urban Outfitters, this 'Truly Madly Deeply Between Two Worlds' Tank Top in peculiar (but nice) shade of green. Whilst I understand spending £28, nearly the same as a pair of jeans on sale, is a little on the expensive side for a tee-shirt, this is absolutely an investment into fashion. Nice print, nice colour; combines indie with a nice shade of summer; the ultimate July investment.
Now, I regret to inform you that I may not be posting over the next couple of weeks, as I AM going on holiday (which is the part I absolutely don't regret to inform you of), so don't worry, I haven't died- just taking a break.
Happy Holidays!
Yours,
Truly xxx
