New Autumn Androgyny 2014- COLOURS & PATTERNS

Hello!

As promised, I am keeping up my aid to you of sorting out Autumn fashions. Continuing from my previous starter of this style: http://trewleesensational.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/new-autumn-androgyny-2014.html

We're gonna start off with the basics- and I mean the BASIC basics.

We're talking colours and patterns:

We're talking:

• burgundy
• black & white (obviously)
• grey
• tartan (I know what you're thinking)
• houndstooth

Burgundy

(all the way back in January, Burgundy was born to rock: http://trewleesensational.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/saturdaystyles.html )

Burgundy is good at neutralising an otherwise very dark outfit. See ^ It suits a lot of seasons and moods, whether you wrap up with a red wine or spicy bright shade.

Black & White Monochrome

The trouser suit remains to look best and most effective in the original black and white style. Yeah, so some space for change that I will allow the suit to be white and the shirt black- but ONLY if you can pull it off! If not, stick with what you know. See here <

Houndstooth

'Houndstooth print' can be in any colour but looks best in black & white. Black & white, in this example, creates the illusion of a combination of these two colours; grey, matching the overall colour co-ordiantion of the outfit... result! See >

Grey

Grey- it's a mans colour. And works with the whole monochrome idea so yeah... need I say more? See >

Tartan

If you aren't one for dulled colours, add a little spice with tartan- although there are guidelines for this too; can only be red or blue, or I might stretch for green if you yourself can judge it to be OK.

Oh yes! I made it on time once again!

And talking of once again, once again the same lace-up ankle boots pictured (first sighted here: http://trewleesensational.
blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/saturdaystyles.html) [continue to be totally stunning] complimenting beautiful floral printed dulled black baggy dress matched with black fishnet tights.


These vagabond-style boots are totally appropraite for walking [short distances] and the great way to top off an outfit, by either dressing up and dressing down. AND, for those of you not confident being vertically challenged, they add that extra few inches in a subtle yet stylish way!

The tights (worn in a very appropriate way, being subtly fishnet) are brilliant for adding a little excitement versus normal black tights- to add interest into relatively plain outfit. That's right, because once in a while it's ok to bring out those tights that your mum bought before she realised you actually cared about what you wore! They can be nice- and we prove it here!

The beautiful floral printed dulled black baggy dress has buttons that add texture and create the idea of two layers- under shift-dress and over waistcoat- style long top. Really comfortable and cute to wear.

Howdy :)

New Saturday Styles is a gorgeous outfit combining current high street trends with vintage looks and shabby socks- the perfect combination.

These vagabond-style boots are totally appropraite for walking [short distances] and the great way to top off an outfit, by either dressing up and dressing down. AND, for those of you not confident being vertically challenged, they add that extra few inches in a subtle yet stylish way!

The vintage dress was rescued quite heroically from a vintage charity shop, where it had previously sat screaming "I'm wayyy to good for this shop window!!!" - I had to buy it. Salmon pink slip dress with lace embroidery; a must-have.

I also paired it with kooky knee-high socks in burgundy, playing with the pinky colour co-ordination scheme of the whole outfit.

Make-up that would complete this outfit:

- red lipstick is out of bonds (sad, I know). Go for Maybelline Super Stay 14 hour Mega Watts Lipstick in Burst of Coral, for £6.99 OR YSL Rouge Pur Couture The Mats rose n roll 3.8g Autumn / Winter Collection for £25.00

- light eye shadow in golden/ peachy tones

- a tad of blusher to add blossom to cheeks

New Autumn Androgyny 2014

Hellooo

The best thing about Summer is that the excitement never ends. And what I mean by this is that even after the holidays are over we have something new and possibly even more exciting to look forward to. This is the new season of Autumn!!

Autumn/ Winter for 2014 brings about different styles we have not yet seen before. The one that I am concentrating most in is new Androlygy Heights. 

Androlygy is a way of dressing in a slightly more masculine manner. 

We're talking:

• trouser suits
• black leather
• ankle boots
• and a WHOLE LOAD MORE!

New styles of clothing, hair AND make-up- all to look forward to!

This is important to us as woman because, not only is it extremely stylish, it helps to make us feel stronger and lets the inner man of us shine through- the side that men tend to beat down. By dressing similarly, we can begin to show that we are just as able to pull of success of fashion and thereby success of lifestyle also. 

Gradually, we can understand that our clothing choice isn't as important as our mental mind set too - some of the time, that is.
