#SaturdayStyles

And guess what?! It's actually Saturday for once!

Today's Saturday Styles is, I gotta admit, pretty damn awesome... But I guess that's up to you to judge...

P.S. I had to blacken out face to hide identity- hope it didn't
freak you out too much!
A combination of Indie (but by no means "windie"), hipster and casual mess of old clothes from your/ your mum's wardrobe!

The hat shown is really hipster and has to be pulled off in the right way (technique is pictured). You can purchase one from H&M, JD Sports and Urban Outfitters.
Obviously, ma fave black choker necklace and to add interest, another plain, no-nonsense bigger necklace is layered over it also, for texture and style.

Wear a very simple black strappy top and some baggy jeans (which, may I add are also ALL the rage right now). Again, the bag I mentioned in June Wishlist (previous post; http://trewleesensational.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/june-wish-list.html) from American Aparel is shown because, as I was right, it is VERY 'in'. Get it!

For shoes, there can be a little variation; go for white/black cages sorta-jelly sandals (as styled in previous post- see June Wishlist) OR white sneakers; converse can work or nike trainers. I personally have a thing for Nike Airforces, from just £48 on the Nike website!

Make-up wise, use some really thick black eyeliner or some bold purple lipstick. Wear some fine hoop earrings too, if you want to look statement without looking shabby.

Ta-Da!

Hope this gives you some inspiration!

Truly xxx

~ 100 Things To Do This Summer ~

Heya!

I've made a list for everyone to follow that gives ideas for 100 things to do this summer.

You HAVE to complete them all; so get going!

I'll show you 5 ideas per post, so hopefully I will have finished by the end of Summer.

Make a charter; tick them off as you complete them.

The ideas I use aren't very complicated, but if you're bothered, write something very specific to the action.

This way, you will never be bored!

Let's start with the first 5:

  1. Have a BBQ
  2. Have a picnic [with friends] [in the park]
  3. Organise a Partayyy
  4. Host a MASSIVE sleepover
  5. Make a 3-course meal [for the family]

Comment any other suggestions in the comment box below!

Disney Party: Mickey Mouse Cupcakes

I know it has been a while and you probably assumed the Disney-party planning was over- you were wrong. That's right! it's still a thing!

Now, we're looking at some adorable Mickey/minnie-mouse cupcakes! Everybody say *awwww*
These are deeelish: oreo cupcakes with buttercream icing
I found cupcake-case things you can use to give cupcakes away at the ned of the party as a modern-take on 'party bag'. You can never forget the party bag!

You will need: amounts vary so buy more than enough just in case. Variation depends on number of guests

  • icing sugar (Tate&Lyle makes me smile!)
  • plain cupcakes- buy them pre-made or make some following instructions in my previous posts. We bought 16 because we planned for 12 guests and always have extras
  • cream-cheese/ butter at room temperature- we'll say butter for the sake of the method
  • 2x oreo packets
  • 2x mini oreo packets (if you can't buy these, use mini chocolate buttons or rolos)
  • cupcake cases in red/white polka dot (Mickey/minnie mouse theme)
Let's begin...
Tesco!

You can buy these for a
bargain in Poundland!

  1. Mix icing sugar with butter in clean bowl using wooden spoon.
  2. Add a little water (3x table-spoons) to soften. Stir.
  3. Use two teaspoons to press icing onto cupcakes. Swirl to look nice.
  4. Decorate with one regular-sized oreo in the centre and two mini ones either side as ears.
You can buy cupcake cases in Poundland which are totally gorgeous. GET THEM! Even if you aren't giving cupcakes away, they're soooo cute... for some reason, we didn't get a photo of the cupcakes inside the cases but oh well.

Store in fridge because the butter could go off.

Tbh, this could well be my final Disney Party post, but keep your fingers crossed.

Yours,

Truly xxx

June Wish-list

So, I've decided to start a monthly Wish-list of all the things I HAVE to buy!! Hopefully my ideas will inspire you too?

Today's Wish-list begins with:

Stunning caged, chunky, block-heel sandals are the trend, purchasable anywhere, but we found the perfect ones from New Look- mint is the new pastel (because it is pastel anywhoo)

This vintage black choker necklace from Urban Outfitters is SO in right now!

And for all of my American viewers out there, soemthing for you to share too: We <3 Brandy Melville!! This gorgeous grey 'killin it' tee though...

Just to confirm your suspicions, black leather leggins are still fashionable, so grab them out your closet for the cooler times of night.

OR, go for some shining disco pants from American Apparel to rock out with.

And, on topic of American Apparel, try out their rucksacks for college, on the town or generally useful back-pack. Don't worry, not the geeky kind of back-pack; the cool stuff!

On the lighter side, for the summer side of things, try out this beautiful lace playsuit from M&S- would go perfectly with the new shoes too!
Warning: only for
the bold!!

WOW! There is so much amazing clothing styles out there this month. And you know the best thing about June? New season means new styles and June's new style of 2014 is 100% vintage, so no more spending tons on new clothes, you'll probably find them in your mum's wardrobe anyway!! Whooop! Whooop!

Hope you LOVE all these styles, just as much as I do!
