Another bit of a break, to focus on possibly my favourite point of focus: FOOD
And I have come up with the perfect concoction that can be whipped up in literally under 5 minutes, yet serves to be totally acceptable and enjoyable.
You Will Need*:
100g Digestive Biscuits
100g Custard
100g Natural Yoghurt
100g Raspberry/ Strawberry Jam
*Amounts may vary depending on how many are being served. My method served 5 at least.
Equipment Needed:
rolling pin (optional)
serving dishes (I used glass cups)
5 or more spoons
Method:
1. Crumble your digestive biscuits (using your fingers or a rolling pin**) into a bowl/mug.
2. Dollop a generous layer of natural yoghurt into each serving glass.
3. Sprinkle a thin layer of biscuit crumbs over each one.
4. Add a spoonful (or two) of raspberry jam on top of the biscuit.
5. Again, sprinkle a thin layer of biscuit crumbs over each one.
The great thing is, the ingredients are changeable, e.g. the centre portion is for a guest who dislikes jam
6. Finish with a layer of custard + any left overs.
Et voila! Deee-lishhh
**I put the biscuits in a plastic resealable freezer bag, wrapped it in a tea fowl, and bashed with a rolling pin... quite a good method to take your anger out on something but be warned, don't do it on a glass table!!
I fear I have gotten too caught up in Autumn fashions (if that's possible), so I thought a short break was necessary.
Today's post is a little spoiler alert in who to look out for, which is a talent... which I possess.
r in the upcoming weeks, months or years. Yes, spotting tomorrows Emma Watsons, Taylor Swifts and J.K.Rowlings. TODAY.
Firstly, and I would say my favourite but they all are, actorBen Schnetzer. At just 24 years of age, Schnetzer has already starred in a couple of my fave films. To be honest, it took me a wikipedia search to discover he was anything other than Irish or German- yet American; his accents are perf. He stars as Max Vandenburg in The Book Thief and, in comparison, is almost physically unrecognisable as Mark in Pride. The Book Thief, based on the book following a girl fostered by a family in German mid WWII; I have previously reviewed as a great book (http://trewleesensational.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/my-reviews-books-books-books.html) and although the film isn't amazing, this actor very definitely is! Pride is a great feel-good film, also political, about Gay Rights and Miners Rights in Britain in the 1980's. He's soon to appear in The Riot Club, also with Sam Claflin and Douglas Booth
This guy, I just can't.
Next is a person who I do claim to have spotted before everyone else. Megan Trainor! Musician at the age of just 20. You must have heard her first and as yet only single to reach no.1 two weeks in a row in 8 different countries, All About That Bass. If you haven't already:
I have literally listened to it all day on repeat. And, it has been proven, you won't get bored. It's also a little booster for those of you uncomfortable with your size!?
