Todays outfit, which (tbh) is pretty gawjuss, can be worn dressed up -my preferred choice- or dressed down for a casual 'outing'. Here we go:

Black shirt; bought from New Look, Primark, M&S, etc. (one in pic is exactly what I was looking for but, anyhoo, we want: slightly see-through, light material, over-sized, nice and lacking weird pockets as pictured in New Look website above.

Burgundy-Wine coloured disco-pants; yes, I know they were in style a while ago, but they never went OUTSIDE the lines of fashionable, so we'll stick with them for now.
Black Wedges; matching top; purchased anywhere... PERFECT- love it!

And a big chunky necklace- and I know this isn't a great example of big chunky necklace, but you can live with it. And if I've trained my viewers well then you'll know what to look out for!

Resolution of the century

Because we're all a bit past New Year's Resolutions, my job is to help you with the resolution of the century... okay, maybe more like decade... or, month at least.

"What are you on about?", I hear you ask. What am I on about is making a change:

But this time, not for charity or anything (although that is a good idea). Oh no! This time, we're getting up close and personal! Scared? Well then read on...

Examples of how to make a change:

• Set a cool target like be in an advert or a show
• Start a blog
• Make a life-changing decision, like to get married (?)
• Make new friends
• join some sort of club, like running
• build something
• paint your rooms

Golden Globes Tonight

Hola mis amigos!

 

Tonight we're looking at the Golden Globe Awards Ceremony! If you're English, then the following may stand out to you:

• 12 Years a Slave is a leading film contender with seven nominations, including a best director nod for Briton Steve McQueen and main actor Chiwetel Ejiofor.
• Judi Dench and Emma Thompson (enemy of Sandra Bullock) lead home hopes in the acting stakes, with Helen Mirren and Janet McTeer also nominated for their TV work.
• Downton Abbey facing rivalry to win best TV drama.



Just so you remember what I mean, here are some
pearl mermaids from previous years

• Dench, Thompson and Kate Winslet all feature in the best dramatic actress category, but Australian actress Cate Blanchett is seen as a solid bet to take the trophy for her role as a disgraced socialite in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine.

...and some red people who I don't recognise too... wait, is
that Jennifer Lawerence- and Zoey whats-her-face as well?

This year's presenters include (basically all my favourites):

• Robert Downey Jr. -Sherlock Holmes and Iron Man
• Kevin Bacon- Footloose & EE adverts
• Reese Witherspoon- Legally Blonde obvs
• Emma Watson- you know her
• Channing Tatum- <3
• Tom Hanks- Forrest Gump is all that matters
• Sandra Bullock- 2 Weeks Notice, Miss Congeniality etc.

• And to be honest, I doubt all of these are presenters becasue there are soo many and there are a lot more where they came from... but I hope you understand you HAVE to watch it!

Happy New Year- Let's celebrate in style

OK, so I know that today is actually the fifth of January (and therefore the official new year should have been celebrated a couple of days ago)... BUT, as you have probably worked out, I tend to address  things a bit late in this blog -e.g. SaturdayStyles on a Sunday- SO, we're celebrating the New Year now!


Basically, I've had a sneak peak into this season's vogue and I have a couple of tips for you to stay fashionable these coming months.

Whilst teenvogue is mainly celebrating Arianna Grande (I mean, get over her), we are going for the sophisticated -although possibly a little crazy- Winter/ Spring styles.
